Plaid Romance

Breton stripes, florals ("for spring? Groundbreaking...") and pale denim may all be making big, blousy headlines at the moment but you simply cannot shift the checked shirt as a year round fashion staple. This April sees the Paul Newman retrospective at the BFI so, in a loose-fitting homage to his Tom Cruise classic 'The Color of Money', check out my pick of this season's plaid:
